Before you put down that deposit, make sure you've covered every base. Print this out, check each box, and commit with confidence.

Financial Checklist

• ☐ I know my net price (total cost minus grants/scholarships only) at each school
• ☐ I've calculated my total 4-year cost, not just year one
• ☐ I've asked each financial aid office if my package will remain similar in years 2–4
• ☐ I know how much I'll need to borrow in total and what my monthly payments will be after graduation
• ☐ I've appealed to any school where I want more aid
• ☐ I've compared the Value Score for my intended major at each school

Academic Checklist

• ☐ My intended major is offered (and not impacted/limited enrollment)
• ☐ I've checked the graduation rate for my major, not just the school overall
• ☐ I've looked at class sizes for my major's core courses
• ☐ I've researched internship and co-op opportunities in my field at each school
• ☐ I've checked if the school has career services specifically for my major

Fit Checklist

• ☐ I've visited campus (or attended a thorough virtual event)
• ☐ I've talked to at least one current student or recent graduate in my major
• ☐ I can picture myself thriving there — not just surviving
• ☐ The location, campus culture, and size feel right for me

Final Step

• ☐ I've slept on my decision for at least 48 hours
• ☐ I'm choosing based on data and fit — not just prestige or pressure
• ☐ I'm excited (even a little) about where I'm committing
